Can you recommend a nice wand massager? I've seen some cheaper 'clones' on eBay for around £15 and was wondering what they are like compared to the branded ones.

The Magic Wand is not cheap, about $130 but it is powerful and durable. You can use it with a slide lamp switch to get variable vibrations.
