What you could do and wouldn't arouse too much suspicion from your mom is to go to your local fabric store and buy a meter or two of some nice satin fabric. If your mom ever found the fabric she might raise an eyebrow but then she wouldn't think her son is a crossdresser. You can just say it's for a cape you're making for a costume party.

I used to buy a few satin shirts from ebay but with satin fabric from a fabric store you get brand new material and you know where it's been.
