I buy a lot from Ebay and I find you have to study the pictures carefully, I once bought a beautifully shiny "satin" dress but when it arrived it was that "shot" silk that is not smooth at all but looks good from a distance, I have had a few duds like that but fortunately they were all quite cheap.
