Completely agree. It's the rare occasion that women make the effort to dress well. There's something about a mature woman in well tailored clothes (especially satin or silk) that is so arousing.

I love to see a mature lady glamorously "dressed to the nines" (whatever that means!) for that special occasion in a satin suit; a dress and bolero or coat, a big hat and satin shoes and handbag. My first memories of that look was probably the Joan Collins character in Dynasty back in the 1980's(?). My view is that it's perhaps the confident nature of some mature ladies and the way they portray themselves that impresses more, they seem worldly and sure of themselves and, thankfully also like to look good and it's that that I find so attractive. I'm lucky in that my wife is such a person. If that lady chooses to dress in an elegant satin gown or Mother of the Bride outfit then that is a devastatingly sexy combination.

I'm not a fan of the large prints and, frankly, weird fabrics in some of the more recent designers collections as sadly, the world seems to be moving away from satin and a tailored silhoette. However, some of the outfits from the 80's, 90's and early 00's are fabulous; classic designs and made from quality satin or taffeta fabrics and of course luxuriously lined. These are well worth finding.

I'm priviledged to own several of these outfits (I was going to say four but on thinking about it...) and, while I absolutely love wearing a glamorous vintage ballgown, I personally find the structure, tight fit and feel of a quality Mother of the Bride outfit and heels gloriously sensual.

One of my favourite pastimes is shopping with my wife as it gives me "cover". She's quite happy with my satin crossdressing fetish so is not in the least perturbed by my browsing through the racks. I can spot a satin garment a mile away! Her favourite place locally is a small independent shop in Derby which specialises in better quality (expensive!) ladieswear. They have a whole wall given over to Mother of the Bride outfits, which, of course, we just HAVE to inspect before moving on to the more practical racks. I'd love to have exclusive access for an afternoon... or indeed any other glamorous occasionwear shop in the land!
