I need someone to sew for me

A competent seamstress is not always easy to find.

Have you tried a post card ad in the local post office window?

Doesn't need to be too specific as to what you need sewing.

I think one of the issues might be that satin is just so slippery it is difficult to keep under control when using a sewing machine !

I found a lady through a local sewing group who were making cotton washable masks for the NHS.

I just told her that they were presents for friends of wedding / anniversary gifts.

She does a good job but is a bit slow.

Such a wonderful pleasure to put a virgin set on the bed and spend the night in them; they get washed the next day !

Good luck; it really is worth persevering.
