Lots of guys here express regret that they can't wear satin in public. But suit trousers are often half lined in satiny material and sometimes are fully lined. I enjoy the feeling of the lining against my legs as I walk.

Anybody the same?

There was an added panache to the last fully lined suit I purchased. The suit sales girl made a big point of the fully lined trousers but I felt they were a little tight in the waistband.

She disagreed very strongly with me and demonstrated that she could easily slip her hand down the front of the trousers up to the web of her thumb. I put up as much of a fight as I could under the circumstances and demurred. Bbut when she wriggled her fingers to prove how spacious the trousers were, I had to acknowledge to myself there was plenty of room in the crotch. She was probably their top suit sales girl. I only wish I could have thought of a good reason for her to measure my inside leg at the time.

Back to the point - does anybody else enjoyed fully lined trousers?

Yes, I had a pair of satin pj pants lined in satin to make them thicker for winter bedtime and also to add extra silky feeling on my legs. Also Guys you can wear satin in public . I have several satin baseball/bomber style jackets that I wear for work and general most days of the week ,and many people just think its shiny leather ( with the black one), so long as you pic a masculine colour like black or navy blue chances are no one will hassle you for wearing a shiny fabric(at least they don t seem to in NZ). I even saw a nz Maori guy in a red satin baseball jacket the other day.I plan to wear my green satin bomber /baseball jacket in Europe this year if its a cooler day that requires a jacket, so I guess I will see if the Europeans react differently to us Kiwis, where most of the time we don t give a toss what each other wears in the street.We are quite liberal with our clothing style here.
