Very sad to hear about Rita Hayworth...RIP

But got me to thinking about that era of actresses that wore satin so amazingly well, and on more than one occassion as a boy needed a pillow to hide my excitement after seeing a picture in a magazine or on a movie... robes and dresses..amazing !

I thought it might be an idea to do a little tribute thread to those actresses from bygone years that blazed the trail for satin so well.....

This is my all time favorite as well. The absolute movie that every satin lover should have in there movie library is the Movie Gilda Staring Rita Hayworth. She sings and dances in a Black Satin gown with Black Satin full length gloves. It is by no doubt the most sensual, sexy, seductive, shimmering satin gown ever made. Of course being worn by the sex goddess Rita Hayworth makes it even more seductive. every time I watch this movie I wonder what happened to that beautiful black satin gown. I would be willing to pay a lot to be able to own that gown.
