Cotton "The fabric of our lives"...

Anyone else here absolutely hate and despise cotton fabric? I live in America and from time to time commercials will be on TV, thanks to the stupid Ad Council promoting Cotton like it's the best fabric on Earth. The commercials usually involve females who talk about when they shop for clothes they always check the label and make sure that the clothing is 100 percent cotton. Then they talk about it like it is the softest, most comfortable, best fabric ever. WTF?... Then at the end of the commercials the last thing said is, "Cotton, it's your favorite for a reason!" Anyone else ever see these stupid commercials? I get absolutely FURIOUS when I see them and I want to SMASH my TV!, hah hah! Cotton sucks! It's heavy, itchy, extremely uncomfortable. If I sweat in cotton it stays soggy, gets even heavier, and gives me bad skin rashes. I make sure to avoid cotton at all costs. It is also a hideous fabric, not attractive or sexy at all! Who else feels the same way? I also get mad when people say "soft cotton" There is no such thing and the "soft cotton" phrase to me is an oxymoron! I hate how everyone in America worships cotton. I think it has to do with the fact that cotton production was very important to the construction of America way back when in history. Satin is a much better fabric as far as I'm concerned. Satin is luxurious, sexy, makes you feel good, good for your skin, good for your hair... I could go on and on. Satin is literally good for your body and health! Well enough of my ranting about how much I hate cotton,

I totally agree with you, I cannot understand at all why satin is so unpopular compared to cotton. Here in the U.K. girls will not wear satin much at all, it looks good, fells good [great actually], and makes a girl or older women look sexy classy and smart all at the same time it ticks all the boxes. Here's an example if you are just knocking around the house and want to nip out to do a bit of shopping what is wrong with a pair of good jeans and a plain simple satin shirt, if you want to wear for best wear acetate satin, if you want hard wearing go for good quality heavier polyester satin, these are increasing in quality now and some poly's are nearly as good as acetate.I go out to my local pubs every weekend and in tha last thirty years have only seen one, yes thats just one girl wearing a nice satin cocktail dress, it was purple in a great acetate satin, she stood out in that pub and looked absolutely great. I think the fashion industry has a lot to do with not promoting satin as an everyday material, they need to get real and start bringing this material to the front.
