Does Harrods have Satin Bedsheets? Some one on here mentioned that they do. I checked their website and I can't find any. Are thier satin bedsheets any good? Do they ship to the US?

They used to many years ago when I was shopping there but they were very very expensive and were made of pure silk satin. Beautiful and luxurious but not practical for someone who sleeps in satin every night.

I had a set of Harrods sheets years ago, they were made from a type of satin called Celanese and felt very nice, unfortunately they wore out very fast, They would have been ok for occasional use but could not stand the usage of being slept in every night.

Celanese is the brand name for acetate fiber that is used in the yarn to weave acetate satin. Scintilla always specified Celanese acetate in their wonderful sexy satin sheet magazine ads from the fifties and sixties. Great satin but like you say, wears out too soon.
