My Slip Rant...

I did this rant about the lack of slips in modern day fashion on another forum, and here it is in full (hehe full slip)...

Now for a rant of a different kind, and been me its going to be weird but I know that I am not the only one that feels this, both men and women around the world have not wanted this to happen...

This is a rant about a fashion type that is dying in the women's fashion world and I hate that it is. The fashion item that is simply called a slip and its slowly fading out of existence.

For those that don't know what I am talking about...

A slip is a woman's undergarment worn beneath a dress or skirt for many reasons like to help it hang smoothly and to prevent chafing of the skin from coarse fabrics such as wool, or to prevent the dress to be see through, or simply for warmth. It makes also makes it easy for clothing to go on and off by having them "slip" over the body. The slip comes in two lengths, full which hangs off the shoulders, or half that hangs of the hips.

Why do I hate that this is a dying fashion trend, simply because its totally sexy and classy when a woman wears one.

Now why would I want a woman to wear more layers under her clothes and not be straight naked, its because I love the tease/seduction and foreplay more then seeing a woman straight naked. Its about the journey and the travel that turns me on more then the destination. Having a woman take off clothing to reveal a slip underneath is such a turn on, or on the other hand, having a woman wear a slip and put clothes on over it, is also a turn on. Seeing a woman in out wear clothes taking them off and finding out see was wearing a slip is great, but also seeing a woman dressing with a slip underneath knowing she will be walking around with one is also great.

Here is a great video of showing how sexy it is having a woman wear a slip under her clothes, this one is worn by the very sexy Christina Hendricks, watch at 5:20 in the video...

Christina Aguilera wears two slips through out this song, one as a dress and one which is seen through the sheer layer on the bottom of the slip dress...

Now in this play you will see several times the actresses take off and on dresses whilst wearing a slip (2:15, red dress), (6:10, gold blouse), (6:50, red dress again)...

Now the reason that the slip is not been used by women and is dying out generally is because dresses and skirts have the slip already built in the clothing as lining. So if you see a dress/skirt with the description of it having lining or lined, now you know what it means. Its because of this lined clothing that the slip has become obsolete.

Ok rant over, I know that most of you wont even get this far as I have written to much again, but what I wanted to share fully couldn't be done quickly.

end of transmission...

I totally agree; it is a pity that slips are out of fashion nowadays. They are totally elegant and sexy and I love seeing a lady in a beautiful slip, even if only a glimpse of her slip is visible for just a brief moment.

To add to your explanation: slips are also very practical. They can be washed much easier than dresses so after a day of running around in them you just wash the slip and the dress does not need to be washed that often. This is easier and helps to protect the often delicate fabric and model of the dress.

Many slips are nylon, which I like. However, my favorite slips are liquid satin slips though; their slippery softness and beautiful shine are more alluring.

Here is a pixie of me at home wearing a slip. Maybe it is more like a chemise but still nice.
