Hi All I created this topic because I want to know how many females out there love satin, so of you're female and you love satin, could you possibly tell me abit about why you like satin and what do you live about it, it's just so I can get a better understanding on what women really think when it comes to satin, thank you, I look forward to all your responses:)

a) Most women don't generally have a satin fetish, and if they do it's to indulge a partner rather than an innate satin fetish. Doesn't matter what people on here say, this is a fact.

I agree with satinluvr. I generally don't think women have fetishes of any kind (satin or otherwise) - it is a peculiarly male thing to have a fetish, it seems to me. Instead, some women can grow to very much enjoy the same fetishes as their partner, but not in the same way as their partner does. Women of course like satin, and many will say they like they feel of it against their skin or how it looks, but it does not automatically create a sexual response in them. For us on this forum of course (almost all male I imagine), satin is intimately linked with sex and it causes sexual arousal. We have become hard wired to get aroused as soon as we see satin, most of us becoming like this from childhood. Why? God knows.

At a purely physical level, I found that women simply do not get the same pleasure as we do, from sliding satin over their clit / vagina. Yes, it is pleasurable, but it is not enough to make them orgasm particularly strongly. The opposite is of course true for us - a cock responds to satin much better than does a clit /vagina. The thread about females having a satin fetish has got me thinking about what defines MY satin fetish (I am male), and by extension, what perhaps defines others’ satin fetish. I remain of the opinion that, generally, females do not have fetishes, satin or otherwise, as I set out in some detail in the other thread. However, there will always be exceptions.

I think there are differences between liking something sexually, enjoying something for the sake of your partner, enjoying something because it gives you a sense of power and dominance over others, and an addictive and all-consuming need to include satin in every aspect of your sex life, to the exclusion of everything else. It is only the latter which equates to ‘fetish’, in my view.

So what are the traits of having a genuine satin fetish? I think that the more times you can honestly answer ‘yes’ to the following, the more likely it is that you have a satin fetish:

It strikes me that when you look at a list like that above, it provides a real insight into just what a fetish is. Many people who do not have a fetish, and who found themselves reading such a list, would most probably be taken aback at best, and pretty horrified at worst. There are things on that list that I think would shock and even disgust many non-fetishists.

As to the question of ‘women with a satin fetish’ - I repeat my view that there will be very, very few, if any, women who would say an honest ‘yes’ to even 30 out of 75 items on the above list, and certainly not 75. Perhaps my list helps to understand just what a satin fetish really is?
