Collecting satin ball gowns

Does anyone here collect satin ball gowns? I’m thinking about starting collecting some, but I have some problems. Firstly, I don’t have the guts to buy or order a satin ball gown. People would think I’m a tranny. I wouldn’t even dare to tell a seller about my fetish. Secondly, my conscience tells me not to lie, so I couldn’t say to a seller that I’m buying a gown for my sister or my girlfriend (I don’t have a girlfriend, anyway). And thirdly, it would be expensive. Although used ball gowns are much cheaper than unused ones, they are still quite expensive. I don’t think I could afford to collect ball gowns.

A couple of nights ago I dreamt about being married to a lady who has a huge collection of satin ball gowns and likes to wear a gown just for fun every day. Are there any women here who like to dress up in their finest and most beautiful satin ball gowns? I’d like to know some. It would also be interesting to know a woman who has a collection of satin ball gowns.

Hi, I would also like to be a collector of ball gowns. As a matter of fact I had a dressmaker custom make one for me years ago.

Recently I was shopping in a "Saver's" Thrift Store and there on a rack was the most beautiful emerald green satin ball gown with the little puff sleeves and a big bow that I had ever seen. it looked brand new like it had never been worn and was just waiting for me. I tried it on and it was a little big in the waist but I was sure that it could be altered by a good seamstress. The best part of it is, it only cost me $9.99 US , I have it in my closet. I am trying desperately to lose a little more weight around the middle so that along with corset the dress would fit perfectly. I even went online and bought a pair white kid opera gloves to go with the dress.

Unfortunately, I cannot find the photo but will have it for you later

You should check Priscilla St John on "Flicker" she must have hundreds of satin b all gowns.

Here is one photo of a gown that I particularly like although it is not in my collection.

Hi, I buy gowns occasionally from ebay, you can get some really good satin dresses really cheap, as regards buying from thrift or charity shops, if you see something fantastic go for it, the chances are the staff will have no idea who is going to wear it.

I wanted to collect gowns but I don't think if they are all satin ball gowns. Because all gowns that I see, it turned out to like them and but them. So, I think I have a hundreds of gowns in my room.

I am also fond of gown and accessories collectibles. I have different kinds of gowns fitted to every occasion. Ball gowns need to be taken care of not only for the costly reason of it but of course on the remembrance when you have worn it for your best day.

I agree the eBay is the best place to purchase gowns. If you know a bit on how to bid and buy you can usually find something very reasonable. If the bidding price goes up too high let it go there will be others. Just like women there are many fish in the sea. As far as anyone knowing... even if they suspected the seller would not say anything. They are concerned in selling their item, getting good feedback and having a happy customer. They could care less what is actually going to happen with the item as long as they get paid promptly. In the last month I have bought some satin cocktail dresses, some prom gowns and even three bridal gowns. I am enjoying them. I also buy a lot of slips and nightgowns.

If any one wanted to meet up, chat and share our shared satin gown fetish in person (in the UK), I would very much be interested. I'm in North Yorkshire but can easily travel.

Hello; I do not have any ball gowns or ever owned one over my years of satin loving but I do hit the thrift stores for other things that I collect other than satin. There are always satin ball gowns and wonderful satin dresses in the several that I frequent in the area I live. So, as stated, the second hand store would be the easiest, least expensive and most accessible way for you to add to your desires. Good luck with this. Scintilla

It really has to be eBay all the way! What with ballgowns being my silk/satin garment of choice, unless you buy them brand new and have a lot of cash to spare then they need to be second hand. Whatsmore, you never have to see or speak to who you're dealing with. I've found some very sexual ballgowns on there for next to nothing. Sometimes you do buy something that doesn't turn out to be that great but you can always sell it on again and usually get your money back. Worst case, you've lost a couple of bucks. In a weird way, I kind of like the idea of other women having worn them too.

Heaven forbid that anyone might think that you are a disgusting, depraved, revolting "Tranny". I'm a "Tranny" and find your remark somewhat offensive.

To be precise, I' m a heterosexual transvestite. In other words, I enjoy wearing clothes normally associated with women. But what's the big deal about that? In many parts of the world men wear clothing that to all intents and purposes are what we would consider skirts and dresses. They do so because the are comfortable and practical.

Women here in the west routinely wear trousers. Do we label them as "Trannies"?

Here in the UK I feel that homosexuals are more generally accepted better than are cross dressers, despite the fact that cross dressing doesn't normally involve what some would consider questionable sexual activities.

After I've been out and about all day wearing trousers it is an absolute delight to get home and change into a comfortable skirt.

Logically, you would think that men would wear skirts so as to give their dicks room to breath instead of having it imprisoned in trousers all day long!

Considering some of the content I've read on this site, I don't think that preferring female clothes to boring male clothes is much of a big deal.

Please, no one is holding you back. I have loved silks and satins since I was four years old. I own prom dresses, wedding dresses, blouses, skirts, lingerie -- ect. You want acceptance? Accept yourself and go for it. I've been married 22 years to an understanding wife, fathered four children and figured out how to make a good enough living to support my family and indulge in my favorite hobby. I told my wife on our third date that I love silky womens clothing - she said "so do I." Had I cowered and acted like a weakling, she never would have dated me again. Instead, my confidence made intriguing conversation and she volunteered to give me a makeover.

Man up (or Woman Up for your gals) and be proud of your attraction to satin and sensitivity to beauty.

For all you prom dress lovers in the US, you might want to check craigslist. I have bought several reasonably priced dresses locally.
