Possibly posting items on eBay...

There's a few things I'd like to post on eBay. There's only a handful that I don't need because a) some are not pure silk as I hoped (some actually said silk and wound up not) and b) not exactly the ones I predicted they would be but are 100% silk. I'm not sure as of yet but right now, there are a couple others I've got my eye on that's currently listed and the ones that I don't particularly care for that can be "loved" by different people such as you guys.
Would some of you be interested in buying these from me? They are mostly in the condition they're in as I received them, mostly unused in my favor. It is possible for me to ship worldwide, but shipping is the benefactor upon that.
Another reason why is I'm getting kind of low on funds and I'll need to come up with something out of it. Trying to reach out to friends here is hit and miss and I'm the type that wants to pay them back as soon as I can so I'm trying to avoid that.
If I were to sell these, is it possible to share the links here in General Chat or does it have to be in another area in the forum? MySatin admin, please help with this particular question! I'll PM you here shortly on this.

Wow, no one is interested? Do you need pics? I'll post them up tomorrow if so! I also hear that someone is interested in one of the dresses I sent for SatinPlay. PM me and we'll see...

The only reason I didn't reply back is because I don't like Silk.

I have a couple that are not. Should've read the post more closely...

Should've written your post more clearly, because there's no mention of satin anywhere. I see "not pure silk" and "silk that doesn't feel like silk". That could mean anything. That's why there's no interest. More Satin fans here than Silk fans. Well that, and other factors that come in to play...

My apologies if they're misleading...but I wouldn't post this topic if it was not satin. Though when I did say that some that said silk when they're really not, I was meaning when I bought them online, they were listed as silk and they turned out to be either polyester or acetate upon receiving them. I can tell the difference between pure silk and polyester or acetate. I've never thought of trying to sell them until just recently.
Another thing, and no offense to you, is that I think you have "no" idea what real silk feels like. I would really like to find out what you got that was claimed to be pure silk satin. There are different types of it if you did not know that. I know it's not as smooth if it's a heavier silk satin so that might be the case. I remember buying a silk satin scarf a long while back (still have it in fact) and it was a lot heavier than I thought and matched what polyester satin was. This was after I found that silk satin, silk charmeuse to be more specific, was more of my preference. The lighter the weight silk satin/charmeuse becomes smoother, flowing and drapes better than heavier weight silks. I'm thinking whatever you got was much heavier, but I wouldn't know unless I seen or felt what you had. My apologies if I'm wrong in your case, but at least hear me out.
I will say this...the only advantage polyester, acetate or nylon has over pure silk is those are mostly washable unless otherwise noted. Most silk satin charmeuse fabrics are not if not cared for properly. That might be another reason also, whoever had whatever silk satin you felt was probably washed either through the washer & dryer. They do lose their luster if laundered that way.
Now the factors, please enlighten me on those...such as?

I have experienced Silk enough to know that I prefer Satin, if that makes any sense. I was given Silk Boxers by my cousin (a girl, which I think is kinda sexy), and I experimented with Silk Pajamas and such before finding Satin. Silk is very lightweight, has a very dull inside, wrinkles and ruins too easily, and yes its luster can wash away. The most important aspect however is that it doesn't feel as good against the body as Satin does (to me). Now this so-called "Silk Satin" I have had zero experience with. I can't remember if I have or had any Silk Satin dresses. I may, but I have too many to remember lol. I guess what it really comes down to is touch and feel of course, and Silk is just too light for me. I prefer Satin because of the unique way it feels. Silk Satin though; I'll have to see about that!
I won't go into the other factors as I don't want to be rude or call out anyone.

"not pure silk" could mean anything.
Well yes, it could, in a totally broad context. However, on a satin fetish forum I would think that it would probably refer to some nasty, artificial, man made satin.
"Silk is very lightweight". Yes it can be. However, there is a whole world of silk, from see through silk chiffon to silk that is so heavy and dull it is more like washed linen and then everything in between, (including , of course, the queen of all fabrics, silk charmeuse.)
"has a very dull inside" As do most, (all?) satins.
"wrinkles and ruins too easily" Where on earth do you get your information? (eh yes, it does, usually.) However, silk can actually be woven into fabrics that are incredibly strong. Of course, the silks we are likely to prefer are of a much more fragile nature. I doubt if I would find silk work wear very appealing.
"its luster can wash away." It definitely can. Anyone found guilty of washing a silk charmeuse dress ought to be sentenced to a life of polyester.
You are on a bit of a loser here, IRLPS, trying to argue this one. There are still a lot of people yet to be enlightened, (which, in a way, has got to be good news for those of us that have been!
Tatra, lover of REAL silk satin.

If you're judging silk satin how the cheap silk boxers from most department stores feels, then you're really missing out. Even the higher quality stuff from places like intimo.com pills really easily. If you're into wearing silk/satin, then you're probably wearing it shiny side in and rubbing it a lot, and anything less than a 22mm weight will start to pill quickly. I've found that USD 40-50 boxers from high end stores last me at most a week before they start pilling and feeling fuzzy instead of smooth.
If you want to get something durable, try something like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mens-30M-M-Heav ... 2572996c14
It's expensive, but its high-end evening gown quality material and more importantly, can last a good while before it loses the feel. Have to watch out for washing though, you can ruin even the best silks if you don't wash them carefully.

That's $42.00 per PAIR ????!!!! Damn....I don't pay that much for my jeans !! They'd have to jack me off for that price

They must be really comfortable though

More so than my 5 pair for $12.00 Fruit of the Looms
