What do I think? This is what I think :promdresslover wrote:This came in from Ebay. It's a "New River from American Eagle Outfitters".I paid more than I wanted ($52 plus shipping) but it was worth it. I had this exact same coat I bought in like 1995. This one is new old stock, looks unworn. And it's a 2XL so it's big on me. But the best part is the maddeningly silky red acetate satin lining. It's thick bridal satin, with some kind of insulation. It feels SO GOOD, I popped an instant woody putting it on. It's gonna take everything I have to keep from fucking the hell out of it, especially once my girlfriend wears it and gets her scent all over it. I may just explode at the sight of her in it. Whatcha think?
Very, very nice man! I need more jackets!promdresslover wrote:I didn't want to pay what I did, but I'm glad. It's a quality coat- they don't make them like this. No cheap polyester, it's thick super smooth acetate satin. The leather is distressed "old" looking. Quality through and through. I cannot even begin to describe just how good it feels, best thing I can compare it to is a high dollar dress from Tiffany Designs or Vera Wang. That kind of super smooth, thick and dreamy, creamy satin. Amazing.

Totally agree with you man. I mean, why even sell on eBay if you don't intend on shipping the item? I've had some nice dresses never arrive because of shitty sellers. Sorry to hear of your troubles, my friend. Fortunately, after sending the seller another message, things have begun to progress. The funds have cleared, and it's getting ready to be shipped. Thank God! I can't wait to have that dress!promdresslover wrote:Ebay really needs to tighten up their seller standards. Too many douchebag scammers these days, people who take too long to ship, and people who lie about what they are selling.
I recently had to invoke a PP claim to get a seller to send out a coat I won, and they decided to sit on it for 2 weeks before shipping. I'm not in the business of giving no interest loans to strangers. I made payment instantly at end of the auction as required, but the seller wants to take their sweet time about sending it out? total bullshit.
Last week I got hosed by some turd in NJ selling fake Otterbox cases. The shitbag actually had the nerve to argue with me, despite Otterbox confirming it was a phony. I did report them and this is one case where Ebay refunded my money quickly under buyer protection and told me to destroy the item and take pics of it and send it to them. Two days later the turd seller was no longer registered.
at least you have buyer protection, you can at least get your money back.
