Ever since I saw those little 1950's ads for Scintilla Satin Bed sheets where they declared that the Hilton bridal suites used their satin sheets, it was my fantasy to check into a hotel, pull back the bed covers and find SATIN sheets. Never happened and I've never found a hotel that offered them like in the old movies. When I travel, I bring my own satin for the bed.

What’s the reason for that then Nigel? Is it just because they’re too delicate and not hard wearing enough for hotel use?
