Made an account on there earlier today so I could view/download some of those pics and it got suspended a few hours later. No reason given, email stating why or anything. What a shit website.

Same. Pinterest is the herpes of photo sharing sites. It plagues Google search too. FML for finding satin pics...

Yeah, I know. I've gotten into the habit of putting in -site:pinterest.* whenever I'm looking for images. Doesn't help that most of the pics on the site itself are low quality, too.

The problem isn't downloading pics, it's having your account deleted without warning. I guess it's a way to stop spammers or something, but it's a crappy way of doing it.

Anyway, here's a few pics I managed to save. Some of them are low quality:

Thanks for your thoughts and insights on the old Hollywood rayon / acetate / satin gowns.

There do seem to be quite a few on the US version of eBay from the 40's but being in the UK the postage and import tax can be quite prohibitive cost wise.

I am also surprised that the dresses are are usually 'small' despite it being wartime but as far as i know food rationing was not a problem in the US so one might have thought the women would be a little larger, or is it just a woman thing that they want to look as slim and trim for their wedding day ?!

I have had a look at the Etsy site but find it much more difficult to navigate than eBay. Just nee dto keep looking at he local charity shops and hopefully be lucky.

I wonder if the more expensive dresses are not put up for sale in the shop but go to a special auction?

I’ve purchased a few incredible 1940s wedding dresses from USA and imported them here to UK. Yes the extra postage and import costs are pretty high, but frankly, the pleasure of owning, wearing, masturbating into and cumming whilst inside them, is worth every single penny!!

There is no other satin like it today - 1940s satin is out of this world :)

AlanaRaso wrote: Sun Dec 09, 2018 7:54 pm Back in the late 90s, a more slender me, purchased about 20 bridesmaids/prom dresses for $5-10 each from thrift (charity) stores. These dresses were still from the time the US manufactured much of its apparel. So many of them have the Union label sewn inside. The fabric was also a rich acetate satin, heavy and smooth. I will need to part with some of these soon as we will be moving overseas for awhile and they are not practical to move with us. I will post on this forum when I have them up on eBay.

For anyone shy about buying satin clothing in store. Just say you are a photographer and are using the clothes for a photo shoot. I had one lady at a thrift shop who used to reserve clothing for me for my "artwork." She knew how there were going to be used and had fun finding the most girly dresses for me - "you want size 14 and 16 is that right dear? I have some lovely pinks and peach dresses that should show very nice in your pictures..."

My wife comments that women will only wear their bridesmaid dress once, whereas I have had years of use out of some of my gowns. She thinks its funny and if this is my kink, it is mild and a lot easier to live with than what many of her friends go through with their husbands (sports obsession, gambling, alcohol & drugs, infidelity) . To my benefit, she insists that I wear satin to bed. She (and I) cannot stand the feel of a t-shirt and sweat pants. So it is only satin nightwear for both of us.
Hi Alana, did you get to the stage of selling some of your gowns? I'd be interested if you decide to sell
