Also seen members claiming to own satin items from sites when I know for a fact that they don't as its been items I've sent to the sites and returned to me, don't understand why they make it up, hasn't happened for a while though thankfully

I've never doubted that for a moment.
My comment was directed at alhb86's less than insightful observation that many people on a fetish site might enjoy posting from the perspective of a fantasy personna. And, not to put too fine a point on it, his arrogant judgement that he is somehow in a position to judge what is or is not "pathetic". It strikes me as a rather schoolgirlish obsession - and not in a good, "look at my silky knickers" way.
