This particular dress, as I mentioned before, I bought cheap to cum on it then wreck it
I would like to see your opinions on this
Yeah, you're right. I didn't think about that until after I made the post. That was the wrong way to word itDestroy wrote:Oh c'mon give me a break!!!![]()
The term "Trash the Dress" refers to brides, wearing their wedding gowns as they take part in a process of ruining them, ie. water, mud, paint, grease, and etc.
This is NOT trash the dress. I'm sure you are well aware of this Bob.
So, in answer to my question, what would you like members on this forum to describe "trashing" a dress as?Destroy wrote:First, I apologize to Bob for over-reacting. It was not necessary and wrong of me.
Tatra, I hear where you are coming from. However...
Five years ago your argument would've made complete sense. Sure dumping food and gunk on a dress technically qualifies for trashing it (which I do enjoy seeing btw), no one can disagree with that. But here is where you are wrong. The practice of trashing the dress has become such widespread that the term can only mean on thing now, woman in formal gowns doing a photoshoot of them trashing it, or as you noted, attempting too. I understand that I am being nit-picky and I apologize. But the term "Trash the Dress" is pretty definitely synonymous with women wearing the dresses as it's getting ruined. Just type the term into Flickr and you get 75k results of what I'm talking about.
Yes, that is a good way to finish them too !!! I have burnt a few, some of which had to dry out first so they would burngetther2004 wrote:Burning of dresses is the best way!
NONSENCE! If you want to trash a dress then you go ahead and call it trashing a dress. As I've already said, I doubt if many people here on this forum wouldn't know what to expect.satinstainer wrote:I must apologize to to the viewers of this thread.....I should have used a different heading. I was not really thinking about the heading, I was more concerned about people being offended by the nature of the pix![]()
I know on occasion I have used the phrase "trash the dress(es)" in reference to getting rid of them.
If I do re-post, I will come up with a more appropriate heading. I was curious as to whether or not anyone else also did this kind of thing.
Not really sure where that video was filmed, but it sure was a beautiful setting for it !! There is a convention center in Dallas, Tx that has a sphere atop it similar to that one, but I'm not sure if that was where it was or not. I have visited that web site before, and I don't really think it's meant to portray the dress actually being ruined, as often they mention the gown was able to be cleaned. It's understandable that not many women are gonna want their beautiful dress wrecked with food or whatever, so the chances of seeing that on a site is pretty slimtatra603 wrote:NONSENCE! If I was to do a Google/Youtube search for "trash the dress" I wouldn't expect pics/vids of a cum stained formal dress in a rubbish bin covered in the remains of last nights take-a-way to be top in the results. I'd see brides wandering around in fountains.
However, this is a forum devoted to lovers of silk/satin, many of whom, (myself included,) bizarrely like to see the objects of that "love" destroyed.
The last thing I would expect to see in a thread on here entitled "trash the dress" would be that bride in a fountain, (which, I'm sure, many on here would quite like.)
(The next thread with that title is now BOUND to be a bride in a fountain!)
Happy trashing! Tatra.
PS Here is a link to my fav. Youtube "trash the dress" vid;

Plenty of brides, (beautiful brides,) in big poofy dresses in fountains. The setting is great, (anyone recognise it?) the photography is good and for me the icing on the cake is the music. I did post a question asking what it was but no one ever got back to me. I like the bit at around 2.50 where the bride steps into the water and the dress puffs up around her.
Tatra.
PPS I'd love to go skinny dipping in that huge fountain under that golden ball thigy.

Where do I begin? I've already apologized for my wrongdoing and overreaction to Bob. But apparently this issue has hardly been put to rest. The problem here now is you insisting that the term "Trash the Dress" can be used as freely and generically as all the other adjectives to describe dressed getting trashed, am I correct? Again Tatra, I am going to argue why you are wrong.tatra603 wrote:So, in answer to my question, what would you like members on this forum to describe "trashing" a dress as?Destroy wrote:First, I apologize to Bob for over-reacting. Also, could I just ask, how many members saw the thread title and expected to see a bride "trashing" her dress? Had I been doing a search on Youtube I might have done, but on this forum? I certainly didn't.
Clearly Destroy did and was obviously disappointed to find it was just old satinstainer adding the final coup de grace to one of his old gowns.
Tatra.
