The other reason I'd always advise wearing a bra under satin is to avoid any embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions. Satin being slippery, it's very easy to unknowingly 'flash' at people. Some people complain (mainly other women) at nipple silhouettes. And if it gets wet it becomes virtually see-through.
Imagine how embarrassing it would be being virtually naked at work.
