in response 2 the "satin & silk salwar kemeez" thread, after giving myself long thoughts for days and weeks, i have decided now is the time 2 promote my country, malaysia, national costume in full glory made in satin. nope. i wont intend 2 open this thread just 2 say baju kurung is better than salwar kemeez any day.

With regard to baju kurung, a great costume. I really would like one to add to my 2 salwar kameez outfits but unfortunately really difficult to get here, on eBay anyhow using baju kurung as a search term. I wonder if there's another name for it? I have a long sleeved satin kaftan which looks like the dress part, but would love the whole outfit including head scarf.

haha. baju kurung is specially exclusive in malaysia only. that is why sellers here refuse 2 sell it and ship it internationally.
