In my experience, all my partners, past and present, would not want me to buy anything for them to wear for going out in.
So i have always ended up with two distinct sets of satin clothing.
Firstly, the stuff they already had before I met them, or on rare occasions bought for themselves because they knew I liked it, and secondly anything I had bought for them which was only used for dressing up in the privacy of the home.
The two things never mixed - having the clothes they bought themselves for going out, work or whatever, and the clothes I bought them for bedroom fun.
It worked out pretty much the same way with all my partners.

The same happens for me too.
On a practical note, I have also found leather or pleather skirts a very practical addition.
They feel real nice, look real sexy, and are easy to wipe clean afterwards.
It can take a lot of courage to ask a partner to dress like that for sex, but most of my partners did agree to it, and with a satin top, and the skirt nicely lined of course, well, I can heartily recommend it.
