I took a sewing class over the last couple of months and here is the result: the very first satin outfit I've made for myself!

Now I can walk into a fabric store, grab the best fabric I can find and turn it into a finished garment for myself!

Over the last year, I've been really into hammered satin fabric (a.k.a. pebble satin). It's received some special heat treatment, so appears a little wrinkly on the surface. It usually has a metallic shine, much shinier than any non-hammered satin fabric I've seen.

I do wear satin skirts and dresses, but I don't really consider it crossdressing. I don't try to pass for a woman when I wear these outfits. I wear them as a man. I'm simply a contrarian who don't see why men are not allowed to wear beautiful satin skirts and dresses. So I do.

I recently acquired a great satin men's shirt from the 80s. It's unique because it's made in such a way that the shiny side of the satin is on the inside, so wearing it on your bare skin is so fantastically exciting that the pleasure is indescribable.

I have three times as many, and have bought at least twice as many as that!

I try to periodically clear out ones that I like less, but after more than 10 years of collecting satin outfits, I now have a closet full of satin items that I love

I didn't go out on that dress other than late at night since, but I got caught by family in a satin blouse, leather skirt and big satin bra outside. I got rI'd of everything after that so had to start collecting again
